the first picture in the collage is from guest artist Richard who emailed me to say that something strange had happened when he went into his garden out of nowhere three ladybird landed right next to him i have never seen that in all my years nature study ,it pays to be kind to the weak and to all living things, the north american Indian night.

A lifes work of a street painter.

Nearly all my life i have been painting pictures,i used to sell my work at craft fairs and shows, and take commissions there as well as wood carving ,many of the drawings you see in my work are done in situ that is outside i also used to have art classes each week with many students,i had a small cabin in the derbyshire hills that i used as a studio with an old stone barn as a gallery and workshop, very beautiful i also had many farm animals and a market garden, organic,i used to trade the vegetables for wood for the wood burner if you look round my various galleries you should find some pictures,I lived here for some ten years with a peaceful mind, and a very beautiful wife the main idea was to study nature, and be as self sufficient as i could be i made some good friends and the whole experience was worthwhile,i then moved into a local village where i am to this day i am now retired and cofortable as i have brought up three children to university standard so my workload is much less now and this is giving me time to consentrate on nature writing and blogging as well as adult teaching,
